Our club's holiday party was held Dec. 5 at longtime favorite Aldo's Italian Restaurant. More than 20 members and guests, including Stacie Amerson's wonderful service dog, Greta, enjoyed the chance to visit and catch up in person as well as enjoy their favorite Italian dishes. The highlight of the evening was, as always, the "Dirty Santa" gift swap, where participants select and open a gift that can then be "stolen" by another player. Check out the fun in the photo gallery below!
The ADPC contributed to a Facebook fundraising initiative organized by member Rebecca Roter to honor the memory of Crisp County Deputy Sheriff Tyee Browne, brother-in-law of member Emily Landrum. Tyee was killed in the line of duty in July. More than $800 was raised, including contributions from our club and individual members, and donated to the Crisp County Canine Unit. The check was presented to Deputy Lance Spurling, who was first on the scene responding to officer down, along with the county’s bloodhound, Rowdy, whom Tyee helped train. Our condolences to Emily and her family.

The Atlanta Doberman Pinscher Club hosted a booth at the DOG DAYS OF AUTUMN Meet the Breed event sponsored by the Atlanta Kennel Club 10/21/23. DPCA Chapter Club MTB Liaison Vicki Sweeney coordinated the event with help from fellow club members Sully Sullivan, Kathy Gresham, Taylor Harris, Edie and Keith Thomas, Rodney Hoyt and Ann Wilson. Thanks to our two- and four-legged club members for introducing and educating the public about our breed. Check out the gallery below for more photos from the event.
